The Kristy Russ difference…
The advantage of my specialized education in functional medicine combined with the medical experience as a pharmacist allows me to better pinpoint the underlying causes of your health problems, which is infinitely more effective than the standard medicine approach.

My professional background has provided me with the valuable tools for accomplishing life-changing results.

I can honestly say that I’ve helped more people in the last few years, working as a health coach, than I have in my entire 20+ years as a pharmacist (which is sad, but unfortunately the way our medical system is).

Once I realized what a huge difference this makes for someone’s life, I knew that I needed to step out from behind the pharmacy and really start making a difference.

I am now living my life in a body I love and helping others achieve the same for themselves.
My message to you is this:

Life is short
Your life is now
Stop tolerating and compromising
Don’t wait - there’s no perfect time to start

Let me help!
It was shocking to discover that the principles of health I’d been taught all my life (as well as pharmacy school), were completely wrong.

But making the changes was surprisingly simple and made all the difference to give me the body I feel amazing in.
If you learn nothing else from me, remember this: Don’t let anyone blame your health issues on “getting older”. There’s nothing “normal” about feeling crappy.

IS normal is to feel great and have excellent health right through old age until you die. Really.

I know this because I was already heading down that path and I’ve come through the other side.
I was “doing all the right things” and all of the tests from the doctor came back “normal”.
So I was shocked and I felt ripped off, to be honest. These kinds of things are only supposed to happen to people that don’t take care of themselves right? And what really freaked me out is that I had seen my situation enough times in the pharmacy to know where this was heading…

So being the geeky scientist type that I am, I started doing a whole bunch of research to figure out how I was going to stop this. Let me tell you, I learned a whole bunch of things they don’t teach you in pharmacy or medicine.
From miserable to vibrant in less than 6 months…
Once I started applying what I learned, literally within a couple of months my knee pain went away- and I mean totally gone - no painkillers required.

And it was just a few months after that, that all the extra weight came off and has stayed off.  I sleep through the night now and I just have lots of energy again. My period issues are gone and no more mood swings (much to the delight of my family).

Interestingly an added bonus is that I don’t get sick anymore either, which is unheard of in the pharmacy. In short, I’m feeling fabulous.

The funny thing is, I didn’t realize what a mess I really was until I looked back and compared it to how I feel now.

If you had asked me then, I would have told you I was one of the healthiest people I know.
I know that many of you are like I was and tolerating issues that you don’t even realize, because it comes on so gradually that it becomes your new normal. Honestly, if it wasn’t for the fact that my knees and my extra weight were threatening my ability to play basketball (which would have devastated me to give up), I might not have done the research and learned these principles.  I don’t even want to imagine how I’d be feeling today if I hadn’t.

Do you know what the sad part about my story is? Most people still don’t know these principles and so they’re suffering needlessly.

That’s why I decided to start personal health coaching. I saw how much people were struggling to do the right things and still not getting any results.
My Story - Kristy Russ
My issues started when I was quite young actually- just a few years after my second child was born.  I was just so tired all the time. I had chalked it up to having 2 young children, but it just kept getting worse and worse.

Added to that, not only did my pregnancy weight NOT go away, I was getting 2 or 3 pounds heavier every year. I also had pretty serious knee pain that was getting alarmingly worse to the point of severe throbbing all day long.

And then the sleep problems- waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning for no particular reason and not getting back to sleep until a half hour before the alarm goes off. So frustrating and exhausting!
Fast forward a few years and I started having some of those typical women’s hormonal issues: my periods were coming more often (just what I wanted- more periods!) and they were so heavy and they were so painful that even the strongest painkillers wouldn’t touch it.  I also started getting PMS & mood swings which I’d never had before.  It’s amazing how you can hear yourself snapping at everyone, yet you can’t actually stop it- I hated being “that Mom” & “that wife”.
